I need to make my 6 pin into a 4 pin because there is no room on my mother board to leave the 2 extra pins off to the side please help asap

Solution
There is probably an 8 pin that you can split.

That's because you are using the wrong connection. That 6-pin connector is for a GPU. If it's a newer PSU it should have an 8 pin connector that will split into 2 4 pin connectors and you can plug one of those into the motherboard. If you try to use the pci-e power connector in the cpu power slot you will likely fry the motherboard and possibly the CPU.

But my problem really is that there is no room on either side of the 4 pin connector so is there anything i can do i do have an 8 pin like i said there is no room for it to plug into the mother board its a biostar ta970

Will you please take a pic of your situation and post it here? What you are describing makes no sense. It sounds like you are describing what the Moderator was referring to. The 8 pin CPU power connector... which separates into 2 x 4 pin connectors.
