Can I cut my PC build costs?

I've heard AMD makes low quality RAM. Grab a 8GB kit, 2x4GB from G.Skill (decent - good quality for low prices), or Corsair.

Solis build although could benefit from having 2x 8GB sticks instead as rendering will use quite a lot. Motherboard is very high-end, if you want to save some money then I recommend getting something slightly more lower-end.

No, I doubt a lower-end motherboard will bottleneck your system. In some cases, it's possible especially if the motherboard you buy is a previous generation one, and doesn't support PCi-e 3.0.

You ought to look into a quad-channel RAM kit to take full advantage of the LGA2011 socket.
