I built a system before the geforce 2080 cards was released, figured why not and just recieved the
Asus 2080ti OC becouse I'm an idiot but here we are.

The system is a Asus mini ITX board Inspired by the cutting edge of the sharpest Katana!
inside the Thermaltake Core V1

The Card will not fit in the Core V1, without the plastic cowl around the fans it will drop into the case, the heatsink JUST clearing the opening in the front of the case. But the fans are still outside the chassis panel.

So the case is out. I still got components. But, take a look at the PCI contacts on the card, now look at the PCI slot on the motherboard: I put a ring around the problem

That damn stub sists at the same level as the pci contacts, hits the locking mechanism on the MB and I cant connect the card and board.

So where do i start cutting with the cutting edge of the sharpest katana.

[Edit] Yeah i should have tried some more before making this dumb post. Turns out, card does infact fit the board, offcourse. It's becouse how the card sits in the case, poking out of the front of the case, it gets locked in place. With the cowl around the fans off, the card and heatsink clears this hole with no room to spare and then you cannot position it right above the PCI slot. Even so, the power connector on the 2080 are not accesible the way it fits in this case. So it's all the case, wich is pretty good considering it's the cheapest component.

The locking tab should mate with the lever you have circled on the board. If the card you have doesn’t fit because of that tab, then other cards won’t fit either (unless the Asus card’s tab or the locking lever on the board are out of spec. I would keep trying, but don’t force anything. The lever should be pulled up before you try inserting the card. It pivots downward when you seat the card. As heavy as these cards are, I wouldn’t cut the locking tab off.
