if i add a graphics card to a apu system can i dedicate the gpu part of a apu back to the cpu?
mobo: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35
apu(cpu+gpu): AMD A8-5600K
ram: 2x G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900)
hard drive: western digital wdbh2d5000enc-nrsn

Solution
A gpu cannot be a cpu and a cpu cannot be a gpu. This is why they exist as separate entities. An apu just happens to have both of them on one component. When you add a graphics card, the gpu on the apu just gets disabled by default.
