Can I delete msdia80.dll if I have multiple copies in different drives?

I have a msdia80.dll in my D drive where my program files are located as well as another one on my C:/.../microsoft shared/vc. After I very fast browsing I figured that they both serve the same function.

If I delete the one in my D drive will it affect any software or will it function normally since I have another one either way?

Best leave it alone as different apps may expect to find it in one of those two different locations.
