I want to make room for a new SSD and I was wondering if I could delete the RefreshImage folder that I've found in my C drive. It takes up a little less than 50GB and that room would help a lot. I was wondering if it's a necessary file or if I should keep it for other things. Thanks!

Also, there's a Windows.old file that I don't know if I need or should not delete either.

the CustomRefresh.wim is a...
Does that Folder have a file named install.esd? If so that is the file I use to create the .iso file for installing on other computers or reinstalling. You could delete that file but not the others. It will be a large file, 2.5GB and/or more. That's the build for the previous update.

I have deleted the Windows.old Folder but only after getting documents, pictures and music out of it. Might want to get any Folder about drivers.

The RefreshImage folder has a file named "CustomRefresh.wim". The single file takes up the 45.7 GB so I'm still confused on if it's a necessary file or not. It's the only one in the folder. :/

I think I get the part about the Windows.old Folder though. Thank you!

the CustomRefresh.wim is a folder that hold backups for your current system so if you dont need it anymore you should be safe to delete it.
