Question Can I delete windows.old?

Hey,

I need some more free space on my ssd and windows.old is about 14gb can I delete it too free up some space? Or does it make my windows crash or something?

you can delete it using disk cleanup

• Press Windows + E, click This PC.
• Right-click the drive with Windows installation and click Properties.
• Click Disk Cleanup and select Clean up the system.
• Select the Previous Windows Installation(s) option to delete Windows.old folder.
• You can also choose to delete other installation files including Windows upgrade log files and Temporary Windows installation files etc.
• Click OK and select Delete Files on the pop-up dialog to confirm the deletion.
• Click Yes.

sometimes it has negative effects but you should be okay.
10 days after the last version update it should auto delete itself.

Should I delete Windows.old for more space ?

I just bought a new SSD and freshly installed Windows 10 on it (an old version) so after updating to the latest version, I found a folder named (windows.old) Is it safe to delete it ? I don't really want to mess up anything so I don't have to install the windows again. What about windows10...
