Solution

His I7 3770 system can never do quad channel.
End of story! Basta! Finito! Ende!
Stop confusing him more and more!
You can put 4 ram dimms in the motherboard but it will only work in a dual channel, you would need a motherboard with a X79 chipset and LGA2011 cpu both with quad channel support.
If you have 2x4 GB right now, it's working in dual channel, if you add another 2x4 GB to have 16 GB total it will still work in dual channel in your current setup.

soo basically if i do quad on my current setup it wont be faster than dual channel ?

Your system can never do quad channel, not on i7 3770 with any compatible mainboard.
That is it!
You need another platform to do that!
End of story!

You can have 4 RAM sticks but they run only on dual channel!

Having 4 sticks does not mean you are running them on quad channel!

Quad channel is "theoretically" a bit faster/better, but actual performance difference there is almost 0 from dual/quad channel, especially in gaming.

Dual channel is all you can have, even with 4 modules. Luckily, you would have no real-life benefit in gaming with quad channel even it it were supported, so it does not matter at all.

Offtopic for the previous poster: please use full stop at the end of the sentence instead of exclamation mark. Using exclamation marks simply looks impolite to other users. Just sayin' 😉
