i'm planning for a new build and these are the parts i plan to have
i7 4790k , MSI z97 Gaming 5 , cooler master neptune 240M , gigabyte gtx 980ti watercooled with an AIO 1x120mm rad . 2 HDDs
so the case comes with two fans on front and one 140mm fan on the rear so my question is
can i remove the rear fan and install the GPU's rad and install this fan with the cpu's cooler on the roof?
the spec sheet says Top: (x3) 120mm or (x2) 140mm
so what about x2 120mm rad + 1 140mm fan would it fit?
or should i just go for the neptune 280L and throw the rear fan away?

Yes you can! :) but the rear fan should be relocated to the front while it seems like you're going to mount your Nepton 240M up top inside the chassis so if you're interested in a push/pull config, you'd need to have a matched set of fans in push and pull on the radiators.

No the mounting points for a 140mm are larger than that found on the 120mm fan mounts. The air flow itself would be disrupted.

It's a good idea to stick with your cooling plan, have the larger radiator on the top and the GPU's AIO radiator mounted to the back. If you do decide to bump up to the 280L then the plan stays the same, CPU rad mounted to top and the GPU's rad mounted at the back. The fan that comes out of the rear can go at the front of the chassis or on one of the spare 120mm fan mounting locations at the top.

but if i use neptune 280L on top there won't be any spare 120mm right?
also on the front there's 2x120mm or 2x140mm and also there's already 2x140mm fans that comes with the case so no free space for the extra 140mm fan there either

maybe i should put that extra rear fan on the bottom?
note that the spec sheet says "Bottom: (x1) 120mm" and the included rear fan is "Rear: (x1) 140mm"
