Solution
you have 2 choices here. use the media creation tool from microsoft and use it to create a USB windows install disk or go purchase an external DVD drive. if you don't have a USB flash drive then you can compare the price of an 8GB-16GB USB flash drive vs. the cost of an external DVD drive
You are better off installing from a download compared to installing from a CD: A download from Microsoft will contain all updates....the CD, of course, will only have the updates in effect as of the date the CD was burned. Install from a usb drive with a current download from MS and avoid all the time required to update you new installation!

seriously? we completely understand . if you computer "does not" have a CD (FYI windows 10 comes on a DVD disk not CD) drive there is no way you can use the CD without addittional hardware like the external DVD drive i mentioned

as noted above, you will be going through the effort of getting the drive working on the new pc to install windows from your DVD. then once it is running, windows update is going to download the new version from its servers and then you will have to sit and wait for that one to install. you are literally adding time and work to the process.

by using the media creator to make a usb drive with the newest windows version, you are much less likely to have to sit and wait for any large updates. there will still be a smaller one or 2 but a full update won't be needed saving a ton of time.

good luck either way.
