I've tried a few ENB mods in the past on my computer with little luck. They either usually break my game or make them far too slow to play, so I suppose now is the time to question whether or not I am capable of running them in the first place. I'm fairly convinced that many of the problems that have occurred in the past were due to installation errors and misunderstandings, but in all honesty my PC isn't really all that great. It can run Vanilla Skyrim on High or Ultra with little to no lag, though I use the Medium Preset with graphics mods (Climates of Tamriel, ELFX, Texture Mods, etc.). I'll admit that this setup can be a bit sluggish at times and highly concentrated areas can get uncomfortably laggy, but I'm willing to sacrifice some performance for better quality.
But back to the original question. I'm not to run for a flawless, photorealistic ENB, but rather a more performance-friendly one (or almost any ENB at all, really). Some popular presets (like RealVision), have "performance" alternatives, which would most certainly work more in my favor.
My system info:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50GHz
RAM: 3.9 GB
Video Card: GeForce GT 630M (Pixel Shader 5.0, Vertex Shader 5.0, 2.1 Video RAM)
I'd wager the answer to this question is most certainly no, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to ask and find out.
Thanks.
