Yes, but make sure you got at least 2GB of RAM. 4GB of RAM is ideal.

Before you try to install that, check if your Motherboard does support that Operating System. If you installed Windows 8 and not knowing there are no drivers available for it, then you're going to have a problem. Minimum RAM is 2GB.
