Hello Tom'sHW Folks.

Just curious on a few things as i have found not much info on the comparisons for my particular questions.
ok to get it started,
i'm on a pretty heavy budget right now, so i first bought a gpu upgrade for my aging system, not a huge upgrade, but since it had a gt 620 , it's an upgrade for sure. I bought a gtx 750 ti ftw for my prebuilt Dell Inspiron 530 with a Q6600 oc'd to 3.1ghz, 6gb ddr2-800mhz ram.

Well, i have now ordered a new budget build as follows...

Mobo- GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD4H
Case- Cooler Master HAF-912
CPU- Intel i5 4670k
Cpu Cooler- Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Ram- G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB DDR3 1866

i will be putting the GTX 750Ti Ftw in this build for probably the next 2-3 months
and will definitely be upgrading, but i am curious...
Have i already maxed out the performance of the 750ti on my aging Q6600
or was it probably a decent bottleneck? Thanks in Advance guys, and sorry i wasn't
sure wether to put this in the CPU section or GPU.

Yes you will see an increase in performance on both sides, GPU bound games and an even bigger boost on the CPU bound game side. The q6600 will bottle neck the 750Ti and it will show when you build your new system. You will also notice a big speed up all around due to the CPU and Ram speed increase. Just to be warned the 750 Ti can play games at a 1080p resolution level but with limited graphic settings. A upgrade in the GPU area later on, like you mentioned, Will get you in a position to play all games at 1080p with high if not ultra graphics.
