Hey so I'm pretty much a new gamer and bought a new pc and I wanna put a great graphics card in and after thinking I decided to put the "Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 GAMING 8GB DDR5 Graphics Card" in my pc so my pc specs are-

Dell optiplex 3050 tower
i7-7700k
Height: 35 cm (13.8") x Width: 15.4 cm (6.1”) x Depth: 27.4 cm (10.8”)
Weight: 7.93 kg (17.49 lbs)

I do have a PCIE 3.0 x16 but I know I need a new power supply of 650W
But besides that do I need to change anything? If I do please let me know and if it isnt possible for me to fit the card please suggest me a card for graphics card which can be used for high graphics gaming. Thanks for any help :)

Solution
Dell motherboards may not fit in a regular atx case because they most probably have different mounting holes
Also rear I/O is also different
The 3050 Tower despite it's name is still a very small case:
Height: 35 cm (13.8") x Width: 15.4 cm (6.1”) x Depth: 27.4 cm (10.8”)

for reference the EVGA GTX 1080 Ti Black Edition is 10.6in - 269.2mm long
the Asus Strix is even longer at 11.73in - 298mm

The Zotac mini suggested by mr ChumP is still 8.31" (211mm)

I doubt that you will be able to install extra fans inside the Dell case which means even if you will be able to install a gtx 1080ti it may will run hot.

If I were you I would just sell the Dell OR get a new case and a new motherboard. By the way does the Dell motherboard even...
Well, you'll need to measure the case clearance yourself. For the smallest version of the 1080ti(zotact 1080ti mini) you'll need atleast 8.31" of clearance in your case... you should have enough space for it.

Also the EVGA SuperNova G3 would be a great PSU choice.

What if the card doesn't fit? Do I just have to buy a new case and shift the parts into the new one (I'm too dumb)

I just bought it from the store and I'm not sure that the card would fit so if I just get a new case and transfer everything it should work right?

Why would you buy a prebuilt computer new if you're immediately going to toss the PSU and put a GPU in it that costs as much as the computer? Can you return it and build something that doesn't have a 2 gens old processor and doesn't need half of the parts upgraded?

They only offer up to a i5 7500 suggesting it's not even a Z-270 motherboard. So getting a new case and a new Z270 motherboard is a much better option

From what I can find about that model computer it has a non-standard power supply shape. Return it and build a system around standard parts. If you can't do it yourself I'm sure you know someone that can help. As in the above posts, it is really silly to buy a pre-built system and then toss out parts, move to another case, upgrade stuff. The only way it makes sense to do is if you know what you are doing and what parts you bought.
