can i fit the EVGA GeForce GTX 960 FTW ACX 2.0+ into my alienware x51?

i currently have a gtx 760 in it which is 4.376inches wide and 9.5inches long and the 960 im looking it is 4.376inches wide but 10.1 inches long. will it fit in my alienware x51? link to the 960 im looking at: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=02G-P4-2968-KR

The 960 is a little better than the 760. Performance wise it falls between the 770 and 760

That said the extra performance isn't even close to being worth the cost of the upgrade.

Depending or your PSU you may be better getting a R9 280x(faster than the 760 and 960) they are around the same price as the 960. The 280x is going to use more power so make sure your PSU is up to the task. To see if there is room in the case you'll need a ruler or tape measure, Dell doesn't list a max gpu length in the specs.
