Hello,I want to buy a new gpu Gainward GeForce GTX 1060 Phoenix GS 6GB GDDR5, but im not sure if it can fit on my motherboard (asus h81m-k).Thanks in advance.
I think it does not fit. Normally the mobo have a first pcie (1) and then the PCIe (16) precisely to allow double width.
In this mobo the pcie (16) is the first one on the left and I believe that the double card will collide with the three audio terminals on the back plate.
I'm afraid not. Although it has a slot of 16, it is needed double width and its mobo lacks it.
Just want to clarify your point...you do NOT need two PCIe slots when a card says it is "double width". It takes up the SPACE of two slots...but if you only have one slot, it may hang over the edge or something, but as long as it fits in your case it is fine.
