Can I fix a mouse pad whose the fabric is peeling off the edges?

Hello!

My mouse pad (which is a few months old), has the fabric peeling off the edge where I usually rest my wrist, probably because of the base of my hand moving around a lot over it. This is how it looks:

(Sorry for the low res, but it's all I can manage with my potato phone)

Is this something I can just fix with regular glue, or is there something more specific I should be using?

Thanks in advance!

is it safe to touch? once it is dry yes, otherwise if you touch it while tacky you'll be using acetone (or nail polish remover which has this) to remove it from your fingers as it bonds to practically anything including fingers. i would just make a few small dabs here and there across the affected area - say every quarter inch or so with small droplets with a bead (line) along the bottom edge.

you will still get that hard texture feeling however it would be far less than just saturating the entire area with superglue.
you could try spray adhesive. you can find it online or at fabric shops. its meant to tack fabric to objects.

keep in mind that using adhesive might make the area of question a bit stiffer and semi-hard if you use too much however this is less likely with spray adhesive than your other methods. i havent used it to fix mousepads however i have used the stuff and it works pretty well.

super glue would work (only use small droplets spread out a little instead of spreading it on like jelly or you will get a hard lump on the bottom of your pad you will feel under the surface)

Thanks so much for your reply.
While I can't justify buying spray adhesive because I'll probably never use it again, I can use the superglue. How would I spread it around though? Is it safe to touch? This might seem like a really stupid question but its the internet so whatever 😛
