Can i fix my broken GPU

About half a year ago i bought a computer with a XFX Radeon 7970 "Black"
But yesterday my computer just frose, i restarted it but about 2 mins in it did it again, and again.
Therefore i started my system in safe boot and it worked perfectly, when i restarted it again the screen just went black and when i loaded an system restore point it didn't start either.
So i reinstalled windows but it didn't start. I removed part after part and came to the conclusion that it was the GPU, my computer runs perfectly with the MB GPU but doesn't have the power i require.

Can i fix the GPU in someway or do i have to replace it.

If it's working in Safe Mode, the most likely cause is the drivers. I suggest downloading and installing the newest version available for your card while in Safe Mode with Networking, and then try rebooting into Windows normally to see if that fixes it.

Nope, i returned the GPU but that wasn't the problem. I also reinstalled windows. Now i am going to return the MB
