Can I flash my bios without a CPU?

I recently purchased a new CPU, my old CPU was broken when my boyfriend took it out and bent some of the pins. I thought since I had to replace it, I might as well upgrade it. I have a HP pavilion P6208f ND I bought the "AMD phenom II x4 black edition 955. When we try to install it it says something about "incompatible CPU". I have been told I need to update the bios firmware and it will work, but I can't because I don't have another CPU. Can someone tell me how to do this from a USB or something? Also, can someone help me verify that it is compatible with my mother board? I would really appreciate some help!! Thank you!

no you can not flash it without another cpu.

Also your new cpu might not work , because prebuild pcs lock the bios, therefore not upgradeable.
No one can confirm this but hp. You can try their customer support.
