Hello!

I'm looking to finally buy a digital camera. It would be mainly for family
type pics, nothing professional. From a quick skim online, I found these
three, and would like your feedback:

Fuji A330
Pentax Optio 30
Olympus D535

They're all $219-229 Canadian, which is pretty much the most I'd want to
spend. In terms of printing pics, I don't know what info you need, but I'd
be printing 4x6 photos, very rarely larger than that. Are all cameras
compatible with all computers? (May sound silly, but I have no clue)

Thanks in advance.

It isn't so much the computer as the Operating System, which will almost
surely be Win XP Home if you have a recent pc. Some cameras will let you
plug into the computer and download the pictures; others aren't made to do
that. To check out this and other details, look up the cameras at
http://www.dpreview.com/.

In any case, you can buy a small, inexpensive device, a card reader, that
plugs into a USB port. It is easier to remove the memory card from the
camera and put it into the reader, than to download pictures directly from
the camera.

Thank you, yes it's XP that I'm running.

I quite like the Pentax Optio 30. While all these cameras appear similar I
think you will find the Optio has a few more options (is that why they call
it Optio? lol). For example: More modes that the Fuji. Spot Metering is
available unlike the Olympus. I'm not sure if the Olympus or Fuji show
Histograms - the Pentax does.
Do a detailed comparison and choice for yourself at
http://www.steves-digicams.com . You might prefer one over the other simply
by its look.
