[SOLVED] can I get hacked while using setiahome

Hello, I am using a program called setia home here is the website https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/
and I was wondering If it was safe would I get hacked or would it be possible to get hacked like my network and me?
cause I'm still living with parents

Get hacked? Not from using SETI. You are no more vulnerable accessing the 'Net just by using it.

I have been using SETI for MANY years, on multiple platforms, with ZERO issues.

I allowed a pair of desktops in my home to crunch SETI data from months on end many years ago...

Upon shutting down these desktops at night instead, I quickly shaved $75 from my monthly electric bill...

And this was in 2005-2006 or so....; now imagine allowing a 9900K to devote/run 100% usage on SETI.
