Can i get some help building my PC?

So My current build is pretty old and is as follows:

inteldual core 2.6 Ghz CPU

Some motherboard that is extremely outdated(i know for a fact that no current CPU can go into it)

GTX 650 TI GPU

6GB DDr2

500W PSU.

I want to slowly start upgrading everything except my GPU. I want to start with my CPU/MOBO as it will be the most exspensive. the only problem is that im on a budget and what i post later is about all i can afford. i want to know which of the CPU's would be better to get and if this MOBO is okay. Im worried the MOBO might not be okay because it is so cheap? So heres my options:

I mainly play games such as farcry 3, BF3, Skyrim. I want a pretty good computer to run these games smoothly. And now for my second question. Which part should i upgrade next, my PSU or my RAM?

for starters you posted the same motherboard twice and only one cpu.

but anyway yes that is a decent motherboard nothing special nor nothing wrong with it.

As for the only cpu you listed that is fine its a very good solid performer with decent overclocking ability(if you wanted to overclock the 2500k is bit better)

as for your last question about which part to upgrade next it would have to be your ram as NO modern motherboard supports ddr2 anymore.

I also forgot to say, you should make sure your current harddrive and dvd rom are sata as this motherboard does not support ide.

oh well i guess one would need knowledge of what sata looks like in comparison to ide...

PSU is fine, maybe want 8GB DDR3 ram.If planning to overclock, get a heatsink and cooler.
