I'm hoping someone can verify that my Mobo/CPU/RAM are all compatible for a new simple server build. This is all probably overkill for it's intended use but the total cost is well within my budget for replacing my old 2005 server guts (dead cpu).

The motherboard specs say:
  • Single Socket H4 (LGA 1151) supports:
  • Intel® Xeon® processor E3-1200 v5, Intel® 6th Gen Core™ i7/i5/i3, Intel® Pentium®, Intel® Celeron® processors
  • CPU TDP up to 95W
  • 2133/1866/1600MHz ECC DDR4 SDRAM 72-bit, 288-pin (UDIMM) gold-plated DIMMs up to 16GB each

Motherboard Specs Page

I don't see any "gotchas" here, so I think you're good to go.
6th Gen Processor so a BIOS update isn't needed
Processor is under the 95 watt TDP limit
RAM Speed is supported
Motherboard supports ECC/Non-ECC RAM.

Cool beans. I know this is a boring build but I will post the results when I have it assembled for anyone who is thinking about a similar basic build.
