Hi folks,

My PC I built about 6 years ago recently kicked the bucket. The power supply went, but honestly all the individual components were beginning to fall apart so I am building a new one.

I am taking the HDD and DVD-RW drives from my old PC, but everything else is trash to me at this point.

The main components that still work well and could be reused are the Q6600 CPU and two 4GB sticks of RAM (PC1200 I think).

It seems a waste (and potentially bad for the environment) to throw these out. Does anyone know a place I can either give these away or sell them with minimal effort? I don't really feel like going through the effort of selling them on the web and shipping them.

Optimally, I'd like to give them to someone who will use it for a computer for a Boys & Girls club, or something like that.

Anyone have any suggestions?

i put together and give away computers from donated parts as part of a christian outreach organization. if your willing to ship them to me, i'd sure be happy to have the parts. they go to a lot of families that need a computer for the kids homework and such so these older parts are still good for those tasks. our city has gone to as many online textbooks as they can so it is necessary to get computers into some hands that can't buy one on their own.
