Hey, was wondering.. Is it possible to wire ethernet from my router to a coax/ethernet adapter, then
through my closet via coax, then upstairs to another adapter to my PC. I live in an older house that does not have ethernet running through the walls. But.. There are coax cables already running between the floors/closet.

So basically Router (with ethernet) -> wall (coax adapter) -> through the closet with coax -> upstairs (from coax to ethernet) -> ethernet to PC.

sort of...

basically you connect one wire to the core and one wire to the outer shield/wire of the coax cable (two wires total)
These boxes will pump a VDSL signal over the wire and then then convert it back to ethernet, final speed is dictated by how good the wire it is, how long etc.

I use something like this to pump Ethernet 3 miles down the road.

Funny thing is, I actually went out and bought one last night after reading a ton of positive reviews on it.. Thing works flawlessly (Even in my old house thats well over 40 years old)
