Can i have both and ssd and a hdd in my small form factor?

So i have a hp compaq 6300 small form factor which according to the Manuel can fit 2 hard drives or a hard drive and ssd due to the 2 sata ports. But i looked in the computer and i have no idea where i could install the ssd? I dont believe that there would be enough room just above the hard drive but i could be wrong as this is the first time i'll be getting an ssd.

you should be able to fit ssd and hdd, I may suggest getting a laptop HDD to conserve space, they have 1tb hdd for laptop for like 59$ at frys electronics and such places.

as for mounting the ssd you can mount them into a 5.25 or 3.25 bay with a bracket that cost like 3-7$

2 x laptop size drives will fit into the same physical space as a single 3.5" HDD.

So, 1 x SSD and 1 x 2.5" HDD.

Put your SSD under DVD drive (with 3.5" to 2.5" adapter).
