[SOLVED] Can I hide all the vpn application from playstore using my router?

Solution
You can block websites.

You cannot hide or otherwise prevent apps from being downloaded.

If those people having access to your wireless network have their own computers that are not under your administrative control then those people will able to access other websites and download whatever applications they wish.

I found the following link for your router's User Manual:

https://setuprouter.com/router/tp-link/tl-wr720n/manual-1286.pdf

Do verify that the linked manual is correct for your router.

Chapter 4.9 addresses Security. You should, however, read the entire manual before doing anything.

And then make configuration changes only one at a time.

Solution
Although I have not actually attempted to capture the data I strongly suspect all apps in the playstore are actually downloaded from some central server and not different locations.

This means it is all likely 1 ip address so you can't block by ip. In addition since the data in encrypted you can not look inside the data packets to see what is being downloaded.

Even if you could do this someone who is going to use a VPN to try to get around a restriction will just go to a public hotspot and get the software there.

Your only hope is to load app on the phone that can restrict what other apps are installed.

If your next question is can you block the VPN itself that is highly unlikely. You can't possibly get all the vpn sites and the traffic looks like standard https.....even though china has a method of blocking openvpn because it does not follow the standard used by https exactly. I have not seen a consumer router that can use this small hole to block traffic using openvpn.
