Can i hit 4ghz with ryzen 5 1500x???

so im overclocking and wondering if i can hit 4ghz on a stock cooler on ryzen 5 1500x

i have it running stable on 3.8ghz 1.275v (ran all cores on max for like 15 mins lol dont have a day to waste) where most people have their voltage up to 1.35 to get to this..... did i win the silicon lottery????

just cause you got a good voltage at 3.8ghz means nothing. you might need 1.45v just to hit 3.9ghz like my 1700X needs.

So maybe maybe not, try it out.

not likely

most will hit 3.6 - 3.8ghz

~4ghz is not going to be something a lot of people can achieve on ryzen without a top of the line mobo and crazy volts

Yes you can, I have mine running at 4.1ghz 1.375 voltage and stress tested it for over an hour, no errors and scores much better in 3d test applications.

Luck of the draw mate-you just have to try it and go from there. As others have suggested, just because your cpu is behaving well at 3.8ghz it doesn't mean it will do so at higher speeds. Also be weary of your temps as the stock cooler is not the greatest for an aggressive overclock.
