Question Can I hook up two different GPUs (one nvidia and one amd) to the same board and drive two different displays (a monitor and a TV)?

I currently have a 1080ti only and a g-sync monitor. Happy with that. But what if I added a radeon rx card solely for the purpose for playing games on a new freesync enabled samsung tv?

You can use your Nvidia with freesync enabled TVs and monitors. Support varies but it does work most of the time.

You absolutely can have another GPU for other monitor/TV. But bare in mind that your TV might only support FreeSync for up to 60Hz=FPS and with a decent GPU you'll never hit that low, so it will be a waste. Research your TV's specs first.

Not really, TVs don't have DisplaytPort and nvidia doesn't do FreeSync over HDMI.

The TV I'm looking at (Q70R) supports FreeSync from 48-60 at 4K but 20-120 at 1080/1440.
At 4K that range is meaningful because dipping below 60 is definitely a problem with a single 1080ti, if I can hit 60 at all.
