My friend recently tried updating his computer with putting in a new ssd and we are having trouble with it. When the computer boots up on the SSD it will get to the log in menu for windows 10 and the screen will start flickering and we cant log in. We used a migration tool from his HDD to SSD and it hasnt been working we tried to fully reset windows 10 on his HDD so we can migrate it over easily but there have been some issues with it. So is there a possibility that i can install Windows 10 on the SSD on my computer and use the same SSD to run it on his computer?

Ok, only attach the SSD, then if you can, run the USB, and when you get to the point where it asks you where to install, delete all partitions on the drive so it is completely blank, then select the unallocated empty disk. Windows should then create the necessary partitions and complete installation. You may have to set the boot order so the USB is top of the list.

If it fails, the BIOS settings are likely wrong. For that, you'll need to say what motherboard you have, but for any newer boards just loading the optimized defaults should be enough.

We tried wiping it an error message would pop up and say we can't.

We first tried through his OS and it said there was an issue not stating what it was so I had a copy of windows 10 on my flash drive and it worked up until it started the driver install and it said there was a system error and it restored what we tried to reset
