can i install a nvdia graphics card in a motherboard which is configured with a crossfire technology?

i want to buy asus prime z370-p motherboard to upgrade my pc. but i am a little confused about the gpu compatibility. According to their websites it only support crossfire technology. What does it even mean? As far as i have understood ,if i use two graphics card from the amd series then the technology will help to enhance the performance. BUt my question is, will it be a problem if i install a single nvdia gtx 1050ti 4gb graphics card in it ? please experts help me!!!

no problem at all. if you happen to install 2 of the same AMD gpu's then crossfire can be enabled.

otherwise it stays disabled and does not interfere at all. so your nvidia card will work no problem at all.
