Hey team, so I was thinking of ways to better cool my r9 390x
One (stupid) way I came up with was sticking a regular AIO cooler onto the GPU
I'm sure there is an amazing and logical answer why this is not possible, but I am having a hard time understanding it - someone please help me understand
See, all AIOs come with different mounting brackets (Intel: LGA 2066 / 2011-v3 / 2011 / 1366 / 115× / 1200; AMD: AM4 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2+ / AM2 / FM2+ / FM2 / FM1), surely one of those brackets will perfectly size up to the holes on my GPU that will allow me to attach it right?????
(My question is about mounting the AIO to the GPU solely; let's ignore the other parts for the mean time, like cooling for vram etc etc..)
