can i install i7 on any type of motherboaed

Solution
If you are using a AMD mobo, you CAN'T install any Intel CPU. You will need to check for AMD CPUs that fits on your socket (AM3, FM2, etc).

In case you want to get an i7 you will have to change your motherboard to one with an Intel chipset on it. You will have to check the socket of the CPU you are buying (LGA 1150, LGA 1151, LGA 2011v3, etc) and buy a motherboard with that socket. Any motherboard from the same socket of the CPU can be used with it, but there different types of motherboards in the same socket that are meant to be used for different purposes.

PD: You will have to check your RAM too, as LGA1151 works with DDR4 RAM while LGA1150 uses DDR3 RAM.
