Can I install my old PC's RAM into a new one?

My dad built me a PC when I was too young to know anything about the components and it's about time i build my own PC that's good enough for gaming with high FPS on decent settings.
These are the specs for the PC I want to build in the near future: (My budget is 600-650 euros)
AMD Ryzen 5 1600
XFX AMD Radeon RX RX-580P4DFD6 4GB Triple X Edition
1 TB HDD (from my old PC) + 240 GB SSD
Gigabyte B450 Aorus M
Evga 600W 80plus
8 GB RAM (here's the problem)
I don't want to spend the extra 80 euros on something I already have so i was thinking on using the RAM i have in my old PC but since it's kinda old i'm expecting it to be DDR3. Will it be compatible?

What you own, you can sell.

All modern processors will be using DDR4 ram.

If your main use is for gaming, pay attention to single thread performance. That is all important for games.
Ryzen is good for many threads and batch applications, but not as good as intel in single thread performance.

The r5 1600 with 12 threads has a passmark rating of 12270 but a single thread rating of 1822.
Most games can effectively use only 2-3 threads.

If you can, look to a 6 thread I5-8400 with a rating of 11271 and a single thread rating of 2366.
Here is a bundle with I5-8400, a Z370 motherboard and 8gb of DDR4 ram for 350 euros...

Past that, the intel 9th gen parts are supposed to launch this month.
The I3-9000 or i5-9400 may well be even more attractive.

I still have about 10 months until i'm able to build a PC so I might aswell just wait and see what new stuff comes out by then.

A good time to keep abreast of new developments.
Prices and products change over time, and usually for the better.

On the cpu/gpu question, think in terms of budgeting 2x the cost of the cpu for your graphics card.

Look for benchmarks of the types of games you will play.

Keep abreast of reviews of cases. Look for one that appeals to you.
My criteria for a good case os one with at least two 120/140mm front intake fans that has a washable filter.
I also like 160mm to fit a good air cooler.
