Can I Install Windows 7 on a Windows 8 exclusive laptop?

I'm looking for a new laptop to buy and I've narrowed my search down to two Asus laptops. I'll provide links for each of them if requested. Thing is, people in reviews are saying that they are both Windows 8.1 exclusive, although they come with FreeDOS.

What does that mean exactly? Will I be able to install Windows 7 on them, rather than Windows 8.1?

You won't, maybe you could install a Win 7 but you will be having problem with the laptops performance because the laptop have no Win 7 drivers. I tried it with my Acer e1-472 which is win 8.1 built and tried to win 7 but no drivers really into it.

PS: Win 8.1 has so many bugs, I don't know if they fixed it already or didn't but of the problems is Win 8.1 can't detect Adhoc created by Win 7 OS users.
