I want to know if its ok to enable Adaptive vsync from the Nvidia control panel along with my Freesync LG monitor?
I'm currently doing just that. I purchased this freesync monitor because it had all the features I want at a very affordable price. I play my pc games (mainly racing sims like Raceroom, Assetto Corsa, Automobilista...) at 2560x1080 @75fps.
Now with Adaptive sync enabled from the Nvidia control panel, my in-game fps is locked to 75. In return I experience nothing byt smooth crisp gameplay. I do ocassional get a quick minor studder once or twice when in-game.
So my main question is; Is it ok to continue to use my Nvidia gpu with my freesync monitor with Adaptive vsync enabled? Would my gameplay benifit more if I convert to AMD gpu and utilize freesync? Or I'm I just fine with my current setup? Would Adaptive vsync via display port cable (with Nvidia gpu) produce the same or similar results if I were to use an AMD gpu with my freesync monitor? A g sync monitor for the size I want is way out of my price range by the way.
PC specs;
Asus i5 4440 3.1 ghz turbo boost 3.2 ghz
8 GB of ram
Nvidia gtx 760 4 GB
LG Freesync 34inch widescreen 75hz monitor via displayport cable
