Question Can I leave half of a SATA power cable unplugged?

The only cable I got with my psu has an end and a second connection spliced in halfway along the cable. I only have one ssd, would it be okay to leave the end unplugged or do I need to get a single cable? Thanks

Yes, It is safe to only use one of the SATA power connectors chained together.

Most modern power supplies come with many SATA connectors on a single cable and they are designed to work with only 1 drive.
