Can I leave my Acer Aspire E15 plugged in without damaging the non-removable battery?

Would like to leave the laptop plugged in when possible for performance reasons, screen brightness, convenience etc...but am worried it will do damage to the non-removable battery. One source has said it will not cause any problems but would like a 2nd opinion.

Generally with newer laptops it won't However if you never use the battery and leave it charged, That will. Lithium Ion batteries will degrade if they are always kept at full or empty. So as long as it gets discharged too you should be fine.

It is very unlikely to cause problems.
Someone I know has a gaming laptop they leave plugged in 24/7 and are usually playing games on it, and the battery is still working fine.
I run a teamspeak server on a netbook, plugged in and running for a year and a half with no issues. However, the loss of battery life is hard to know because the battery was already useless (it was being given away for free to a friend).

I think I feel confident in saying it will be safe and nothing will go wrong, and that for the first couple of years you will not notice a considerable drop in battery performance.

Nothing bad will happen, but the battery capacity (how long it can run on battery) will reduce

If you run the laptop on battery down to 20% or so every once in a while it will keep the batteries max capacity from degraiding too fast.

You can always adjust power plan settings and can then run full power, full brightness etc on battery as well as AC-power
