Yes. I have 64 bit Win10 On a SATA drive, but 10 won't load a number of old PC games. I Thought of loading Vista on a Spare HD to play them. You want to load Windows Vista on a B250 Motherboard?
Thanks. Maybe a USB drive? Or an IDE drive in a USB case?Drivers and slipstreaming them to create a bootable device will be the difficult problem. That motherboard was designed for Win 10. Win7 and even older don't have the proper drivers in the install image.
The problem with pre-Win10 OS install is the lack of USB drivers in the base install. You lose keyboard/mouse. You have to create a custom installer with the proper drivers pre-loaded to allow you to complete the insall. As long as it installs and runs, you can just install the drivers after. I would try the straight install first. Worry about slipstreaming or adding driver during install only if the straight install doesn't work.
