Can I make a 24 pin atx power supply work with a 14 pin motherboard?

I bought it for my son because he needed one and it was on sale, But it doesnt have the right ammount of pins. The motherboard is a lenovo MAHOBAY motherboard and the current psu is a 220 w stock psu. Thank you!

Unlikely, that mobo wa designed to work with the standard psu

There are adapters for 24 pin to 14 power supplies. Please note the pin outs varry and are non-standard so if you get an adapter make sure it says it will work with your model. You can also google "24 pin to 14 pin psu power supply atx adapter lenovo model xxxx".
