Hello!
I built a PC for my friend and I came a across this problem. When I made the build i put a msi gtx960 for graphic card but later on my friend told me his budget was bigger so he wanted a 970. I forgot to check that the PSU had enough PCIe connectors for the graphics card so now his PC is working and all that but without a dedicated graphics card. The PSU has one 8-pin connector for PCIe but the GTX 970 still needs another 6-pin connector.
So my question is, can i just buy an adapter or do I need to tell my friend he needs to change his PSU? and if an adapter would work would a 2x molex to 6-pin cable be good or is a 2x SATA to 6-pin or one SATA to 6-pin cable better?
Thank you!
Hope I was clear enough.
