Can I make my toshiba laptop faster?

My laptop is a toshiba satellite pro and it is 1 processor 2.2 CPU speed and is REALLY slow! Plz help thanks.

Check the free space on the hard drive as it may be getting low - that will slow Windows down.
To free up more space, consider uninstalling software you don't use.

Use something like "Ccleaner" to control the items that start with Windows. Too many can waste RAM, leaving less for Windows & applications. Typically on laptops, many of those startup items just aren't necessary, especially the Toshiba utilities. "Ccleaner" is free, get it here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

Also consider adding more RAM.
For 32-bit Windows, you can have up to 4GB RAM
For 64-bit Windows you are limited only by the maximum amount of RAM that your model can take.
