Hi Fellas
I want to build a mining rig using 6 RX 580 8 GB.
I Have a PC which has a Gigabyte P85-D3 Motherboard.
This M.B has 7 PCI slots:
  1. 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16
  2. 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4)
  3. 1 x PCI Express x1 slot
(PCIEX4 and PCIEX1 slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)
  4. 4 x PCI slots
Can I use this motherboard for my rig and avoid extra cost of new mining motherboard?

I would not do so.

Either with the current motherboard or a new motherboard.

Mining is very hard on a system and unlikely to be at all profitable.

Even if you just wish to mine at a "hobby" or "casual" level the system will still be worked hard.

You did not mention your PSU - mining needs power and the PSU must be able to provide regular and steady power.

Plus, even if it all works, a failed component such as a GPU or PSU may be difficult and/or expensive to find and purchase.

Also: google "mining rigs images". to see who/what your system will be competing with.

Just my thoughts on the matter.
