Can I mix a corsair 4 GB RAM with my existing G.Skill 2 GB RAM ?

my mobo supports upto 1333 MHz,I am running a i3 2100 @3.1 GHz
If yes what settings do I need to change ?

I can only afford a 4 gig stick atm

In theory, you can. But in real world it is no guarantee they will work together. That why we don't recommend to buy single stick ram. You can try to buy but make sure you can return it if they don't work together.

First off not a good idea to mix, even mixing the set model with sticks from anothe package can be problematic, chances of sccess often depend not only on the sticks but the mobo and CPU - know those will help
