Can I mix ram (1333MHz with 1600MHz)

I sold my motherboard which supported up to 2200MHz, because i wanted a new processor.
Now I ordered a new mobo with the matching socket, but it supports only up to 1333MHz ram, and my processor supports only 1333MHz ram either.
My ram is G-Skill 1600MHz (2x4GB)
So will it just normaly, downgrade automatically to 1333MHz and will the dual channel work just fine ?

If all the answers are yes, how would it be to combine my ram with two sticks of 1333MHz

You won't know till you try it , if it runs it will run at 1333.

Which cpu+motherboard did you buy?

I think it's still best to get the exact set like you have right now if you want to combine sets..

SHould defaule and run at 1333 - as far as 'adding' additional DRAM - no guarantees at all - it's a 50/50 crapshoot
