[SOLVED] can i mix ram brand? and can i mix 4gb ram with 8gb ram?

i have this mini pc lenovo thinkcentre m710 tiny with micron sodimm ram 4gb 2400MHz. Also i want to buy and install ADATA Signature Sodimm ddr4 8gb 2666MHz.

the question is can i do it?

Technically you can do this because the ram will go into the slot but will it work thats a big no from me

You can probably replace the 4gb with the 8gb (although the faster speed probably won't help), but using them together is a 50/50 shot. ddr4 can be fickle. The good thing is that system can handle 64gb via 2x 32gb modules:
