Am I allowed to mix ram brands? Both brands run at 2400 and have 260pins and other identical specs. I just want to upgrade from 16gb to 32 gb by adding the kingston ram. Will I have a issue?

This use to not be a big deal but now with DDR4 the fail rate is much higher, I would avoid the headache and $$$ of a failed attempt. You better off with just sticking with the same brand and avoid the possible random BSOD's this can cause along with the possible side effects of having all your RAM down clocked.
different brand wont have any issue normally,
what matters is the speed frequency

on top of that, mixing different kit is pretty much not suggested
80% chance it will success, 20% chance it will fail (no POST)

the safest way is to get a single kit of 32gb (may it be 2x16 or 4x8gb), but you can try it anyway
