Can I mix ram speeds?

Hey, I currently have Corsair LPX 8GB DRAM 2666MHz C16 (2x4) and I have a good deal on
Ballistix Sport LT 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR4 2400 MT/s cl 16 but i'm not sure if I can mix theses. Please help thank you!

There is no guarantee they will be work together flawlessly but they should be fine. As for speed, the RAM will be limited to the speed of the slowest kit so in this case all your sticks will run at 2400 MHz even though the Corsair is rated at 2666 MHz. The performance difference between the two would be negligible though particularly on an Intel system. Hope this helps!

Mixing RAM speeds is a hit and miss affair. It may or may not work due to difference in timing. You can only find out when you test it. Even if it works, the higher speed will scale down to the lower speed.
