NOTE: I'm more than likely going to get some telling me to just buy a new case. I'm a college student and I don't have the money as of now. I'm currently saving up for a completely new build that will have a good case so I don't see a point of buying a cheap case right now and ending up buying a better case later. tl;dr: I'm broke. I'm only looking for a temporary solution.

I'm having high temps (95 C) on my GTX 560 TI. There is only one outtake fan at the rear of the case and I'm looking to place an intake fan at the front of the case.

Closer look at the place where I'd probably mount the fan

I can think of many ways to use zip ties based on what I am seeing. All you need are 2 or 4 points to put under tension through both the case and fan holes.

Cardboard isn't a bad idea. You could build a shroud that turns that oddly shaped lump into a square opening to receive the fan. Basically get as much of that grill sealed off from the rest of the case so the fan actually pulls cool air in.
As long as you can get the cable to reach someplace to power it it will work allthough I'd try and put something between the fan frame and case like some rubber or some to lessen any vibration transmitted

Sure, anywhere it will physically fit.

Probably won't pull in that much air since it won't be direct to the outside world. Should at least get some air moving. Since you don't care much for the case, have you thought of cutting a hole in the side panel and mounting a fan there? Get some intake directly onto the GPU.
