Can I mount an SSD with a magnetic strip?

Hey,

I need to mount an SSD to a case, and I have a piece of magnetic strip lying around. Is it safe to stick it near an SSD? It would have an adhesive strip that goes on the SSD and then mounts to the case wall.

That's probably a bad idea.

Double sided tape or Velcro.

That sounds like an accident waiting to happen. While it shouldn't harm the SSD, a magnetic drive you were moving into place to use as a data drive could easily be corrupted as it moved near the magnet.

use Velcro its safe and you can just rip it right off when needing to
